Dr. Maxwell has been working as a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB) since 2002. Over the years, Dr. Maxwell has worked with hundreds of families whose pets exhibit very serious, even dangerous, behavior problems. She also has worked with families whose pets exhibit less severe behavior problems (e.g., a new puppy in need of basic obedience or housetraining, a new kitten who needs to be introduced to a resident pet in the best way, or a well-behaved dog who is training for certification as a therapy dog or canine good citizen). Whether your family pet is exhibiting serious behavior problems or requires just a bit of “fine-tuning,” Dr. Maxwell can provide you with the highest standard of behavioral care available. Dr. Maxwell currently serves as a member of the application review board for the Animal Behavior Society's Applied Animal Behavior certification program. She also serves as Vice-President of the Applied Animal Behavior Special Interest Group and as the Applied Animal Behavior Research Area Co-Coordinator for the Association for Behavior Analysis International. Dr. Maxwell and her husband currently share their home with a pit bull mix named Iago, a Sheltie mix named Addy, and a yellow-collared miniature macaw named Sappho. | | |
